Job Description

GreenXT is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to support the development efforts for implementation and in-service support of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) assessment technologies for US Naval ship systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive mappings between the data systems of naval ships to ensure seamless communication and interoperability.
  • Ensure and maintain data quality across all applicable ship platforms, while utilizing engineering documentation to resolve any terminology discrepancies within the data.
  • Analyze data for patterns and consistency, while working with incomplete data sets to fill in gaps.
  • Analyze data outputs from the networked engineering system to derive valuable insights and inform decision making processes.
  • Create data validation rules or amend existing rules to further improve accuracy and efficiency of the team’s data handling process.
  • Provide engineering services and technical support to design, develop, and integrate technological improvements into ship control systems.
  • Identify system and equipment parameters to develop condition assessment monitoring algorithms, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of naval ship systems.
  • Tasked by and report to technical leads within Naval Surface Warfare Center Code 532
  • Provide documented status updates on a regular basis
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain this clearance upon position acceptance) is required for this position.
  • One to three (1-3) years of professional experience, which includes: 
    1. Proficiency of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to effectively manage large data sets, write formulas and utilize Power Query.
    2. Knowledgeable of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
    3. Exceptional organizational including meticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
    4. Familiarity with Atlassian software suite, specifically Jira.
    5. Familiarity with Systems Engineering Process.
    6. Comfortable working within a team or individually.
