Job Description

Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) is seeking a Junior Hardware Engineer to support the Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) Engineering Team, encompassing operation, maintenance, and installation of various DAS programs.
 
The Junior Hardware Engineer will support the DAS Engineering Team with advance planning, development, and organization for pre-installation preparation of upcoming components, as well as identify, document, report, and recommend improvements for unexpected or abnormal conditions to the DAS Engineering Team.
 
This position is expected to be in office in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on cables, wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, and communication systems.
  • Use measuring and diagnostic instruments including:
    • Digital multimeters
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Signal generators
    • Continuity testers
    • Network/cable analyzers
    • Fiber optic test equipment
  • Diagnose and repair cable, connector, grounding, shielding, and wiring issues.
  • Verify cable integrity, continuity, shielding effectiveness, and fiber optic integrity.
  • Assist with fabrication, assembly, termination, and repair of electrical and fiber optic cables.
  • Troubleshoot sensors, transducers, and low-voltage electronic devices.
  • Verify communication protocols and signal integrity for serial and network communications.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting of control systems, instrumentation, and embedded equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pinouts, and technical documentation.
  • Perform inspections and document test results, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
  • Support system integration, checkout, and operational testing activities.
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and laboratory/work area in safe operating condition.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance prior to start.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electronics Technology, Controls Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related technical field; OR equivalent military technical training or industry experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting and testing.
  • Hands-on experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting, integration, testing, or repair.
  • Experience or knowledge of using electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity diagnosing wiring, cable, connector, grounding, and communication issues.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic testing and cable integrity verification preferred.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to perform simple repairs, cable fabrication, connector termination, and component replacement.
  • Knowledge of shielding, grounding, and communication protocols preferred.
  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, defense, laboratory, marine, or field-service environments is a plus.
