- Perform assessments and provide training and technical assistance to ship’s force on electric valve actuators during repair and test events.
- Support design, analysis, modeling, and testing of advanced shipboard thermal and solid-state weapon cooling systems.
- Execute shipboard testing activities and prepare associated deliverables
- Develop and modify testing, checkout, and troubleshooting procedures for HVAC, auxiliary systems, and fluid control equipment.
- Provide technical support in preparing Mission Readiness Panels (MRPs) and associated system assessments at equipment testing facility.
- Review and contribute to technical documentation, perform distance support tasks, and submit feedback reports per program directives.
- Assist in the design and detailing of new ship system components including testing support and drawing review.
- Prepare, pack, and ship equipment, tools, and prefabricated parts in compliance with DoN regulations for shipboard installation sites.
- Coordinate with NSWCPD and other Navy technical codes to resolve CMP tasks and provide analysis for Technical Feedback Reports (TFBRs).
- Respond to and resolve ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) feedback through systems like Remedy and Navy 311.
- Identify systemic inefficiencies and develop streamlined, cost-effective solutions to improve system lifecycle management.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of hands-on experience with U.S. Navy programs and ship systems, including:
- Installation, ship alterations (SHIPALTs), overhauls
- System testing, shipboard system planning
- Surface Ship Auxiliary, Machinery, and Fluid Control Systems experience
- Shock/vibration testing, lube oil heater analysis, and fuel oil separators
- Ship alterations and repairs
- Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain this clearance upon position acceptance) is required for this position
- Candidate must be available to travel at times up to 10%
- This position requires an onsite workload at Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) for at least 50% of the time
