Job Description
Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support the Submarine Maintenance Monitoring Information System (SMMIS).
SMMIS is the web application used by US Navy Submarine Performance Monitoring Teams to track and report on daily activities supporting the fleet. It handles inspection test point data, equipment deficiency information, equipment management, and fleet support. Data can be retrieved in ad hoc reports, engineering reviews, and other formalized reports.

Desired Skills & Experience:
- Research, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
- Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
- Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
- Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
- Expertise in JavaScript and HTML for front-end development.
- Experience in working with Oracle as a backend database
Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience with a Bachelors in a related field; OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance prior to start.
- Candidate must have experience working with scientific programming and information systems management.
- Candidate must have experience with Windows, Linux, or UNIX environments.
- Candidates must be proficient in Visual Basic, Visual Studio .NET, SQL Server, and web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, SGML/XML, and PDF integration.
