Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) is seeking a Junior level Sustainment Representative to support the Operations and Sustainment of Enterprise Remote Monitoring (eRM) systems at Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) and onboard U.S. Navy platforms. The candidate will provide engineering, technical and program support for the post installation operations and sustainment of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) assessment technologies for naval ship systems on surface ships for the Remote Monitoring and Condition Assessment Systems Branch. Primary responsibility will be to contribute to test and evaluation engineering support, system post installation support and shipboard and shore-based software loads.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting complex problems of all variants of fielded systems (Condition Based Maintenance Systems)
  • Develop troubleshooting and operational procedures to support all variants of fielded systems (Condition Based Maintenance Systems)
  • Review and development of technical documentation
  • Provide testing support in accordance with specified test procedures of fielded systems (Condition Based Maintenance Systems)
  • Develop test procedures to exercise requirements of Condition Based Maintenance Systems and follow-on systems
  • Provide software and hardware support
  • Provide technical input to the design of Condition Based Maintenance Systems
  • Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboard environment
  • Work will be performed onsite at NSWC Philadelphia
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain this clearance upon position acceptance) is required for this position
  • Must have a valid US passport or the ability to obtain one upon position acceptance
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university is required for this position
  • 1-3 years of experience in electrical or computer engineering as it pertains to computer-based systems in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures with computer-based systems
  • Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and/or shipboard drawings
  • Proficiency in the use of test tools and diagnostic tools associated with computer-based systems
  • Proficient in the use of Linux and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems including servers
  • Travel up to 50% may be required within and outside of the continental United States
  • Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.  
  • Ability to work on and climb ladders, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
Working Conditions
The work is typically performed at client site locations in an office environment or Control System Test Labs. Additional work may be performed onboard US Navy Ships (pier side and at sea), which requires proper safety precautions and ability to go up and down shipboard stairways (ladders); work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
